We are pleased to announce that Forté Capital LLC has agreed to purchase and merge the assets of Bryce Capital Management LLC, a Pittsford New York-based money management company.  The owners and principals of Bryce, Dennis E. Lohouse, CFA and Edmond ShiedlowerSheidlower, CMFC join Forté Capital LLC as Principals and Portfolio Managers.  Dennis E. Lohouse and Edmond Shiedlower founded Bryce Capital Management in Pittsford, NY and have agreed to merge their business into Forte Capital LLC. not change.

 

Dennis has 231 years experience in virtually all aspects of the investment profession including research, funds management, trading and senior management. He holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from the Simon  School of the University of Rochester, an MS in Economics and a BA in Psychology both from the State University of New York at Buffalo.  He has earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. He has been Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Rochester Area Community Foundation. . Prior to co-founding Bryce, Dennis was Chief Investment Officer for the Chase Investment Services Group of Chase Manhattan Bank with investment responsibilities in the Personal Asset Management Division as well as the Corporate and Institutional businesses encompassing $11.5 billion in client assets.
 
Prior to co-founding Bryce, Dennis was Chief Investment Officer for the Chase Investment Services Group of the Chase Manhattan Bank, with responsibilities for the investment side of the Personal Asset Management Division as well as the Corporate and Institutional businesses encompassing $11.5 billion in client assets. He was also a Managing Director and registered Principal of Chase Securities Inc.

 

Ed brings over 220 years of investment experience including research, trading, funds management and portfolio management. You may recognize him from his frequent appearances on the financial news network CNBC as well as other financial media outlets. At Bryce, Ed was the Portfolio Manager of the Bryce Capital Mutual Funds, which have been ranked  by Morningstar and Lipper as the top fund in their category. . Prior to co-founding Bryce Capital Management, Ed spent the prior nine years at Chase Manhattan Bank.  Ed had a number of roles at Chase including, equity research analyst and assisted in the management of several of Chase’s mutual and common trust funds.  Ed was also named the Director of Equity Research for Chase’s Regional Banking Group.  Ed’s last position at the bank was as a Portfolio Manager in Chase’s Asset Management Group, where Ed was personally responsible for managing over $300 million in client’s assets. Prior to co-founding Bryce , Ed spent nine years at Chase Manhattan Bank serving as Director of Equity Research for Chase's Regional Banking Group and assisting in the management of several of Chase’s mutual and common trust funds.  As a Portfolio Manager in Chase’s Asset Management Group, Ed was personally responsible for managing over $300 million in client’s assets. 

Ed is a graduate of Hobart College, holds a BA in Economics and has also earned the Chartered Mutual Funds Counselor (CMFC) designation.  Outside the professional arena, Ed ivolunteerss as also a  Deputy Chief of the Honeoye Falls-Mendon Volunteer Ambulance, is a Certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and a Certified Emergency Vehicle Operator Trainer.  As an avid birdwatcher, he has served as both Treasurer and  is on the Board of Directors of the Rochester Birding Association.s
